After the year we've all had, John Lewis has decided Christmas can't come soon enough – and we are in full agreement.
The department store opened the doors to its Christmas shop on 1 September (much to the dismay of people who dread hearing carols before December), and now the countdown is officially on, as earlier this month The John Lewis & Partners Beauty Advent Calendar went on sale - and sold out fast.
Luckily, it has now been restocked for those who weren't quick enough the first time around.
We're crossing off the days until we can open the first drawer, as the advent calendar contains beauty goodies worth an impressive £600 (its highest value to date) – all for the much more affordable price of £159.
The stars of the show are the 12 full size products, which include a REN Daily AHA Tonic, an Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum, a Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette, a MAC Satin Lipstick and a Neom Luxury Scented Candle.
After all that build-up, you'll be please to learn the excitement doesn't end on Christmas eve, as the calendar contains a bonus two beauty gifts to unveil on Christmas day.
The calendar is designed to be refilled and reused, and is housed in a fully recyclable box. My John Lewis members can also recycle all their beauty advent empties, using John Lewis' in-store BeautyCycle service, and in return they'll get £5 off their next beauty purchase.

The charges relate to two counts of alleged indecent assault against a woman in London in August 1996, officials from Britain's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced on Wednesday. They have authorised London's Metropolitan Police to charge the 70-year-old after a review of evidence gathered by investigators. Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS special crime division, said: "The CPS has authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Harvey Weinstein with two counts of indecent assault against a woman in August 1996. Charges have been authorised against Harvey Weinstein following a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation.”
