Welcome to HUNGER’s Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what’s hot, what’s not, and what needs to be on your radar…

If you didn’t already know, today is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. Yep, you guessed right, it’s National Lipstick Day. Luckily, YSL are serving the looks this year with their range of luxury lip-ready products. If you’re looking for something to keep your pout on point then why not go for YSL’s first ever matte finish lipstick, the Rouge Pur Couture , which comes in a variety of shades. Of course, nourishing your lips is just as important, and with the Nu Lip and Cheek Balmy Tint , you can give your lips the care they deserve. Need some more on the makeup front? Well, YSL has also released their latest Couture Colour Clutch Desert Nude Eyeshadow Palette. The palette features a collection of ten new glorious shades of browns & pinks infused with warm light, ensuring you’ll always stick out from the crowd.

Looking for a bit of culture in your life? Then let us point in the direction of interdisciplinary artist Osman Yousefzda’s latest exhibition running at the V&A from now until the 25th September. Titled What Is Seen And What Is Not , Yousefzda tackles themes of displacement, movement, migration and climate change in his latest thought-provoking display.

Of course, we had to throw something fashionable in the mix too and thankfully Nigerian music festival HOMECOMING launched their new online store on Wednesday. One of the most exciting aspects of the store is that it will provide exclusive capsule collections that could previously only be found at the festival. If you’re a streetwear head, this is one you won’t want to miss as exclusive pieces from Off-White, Stussy and more will be available for the first time digitally. There’s also an exclusive piece from Ambush available so run don’t walk.

Taking the podium in this week’s MVP is Jean Paul Gaultier’s aptly named Fashion Freak Show . The scandalous and exuberant theatre show will take place at the iconic Roundhouse in London for 53 shows. Set against the backdrop of a stunning video wall, the show runs through 50 years of pop culture and sees actors, dancers and circus artists take the stage to play outlandish creatures and personalities. Jean Paul Gaultier takes up the role of director and costume designer and dissects our times in an extravagant, unforgettable show.
