FALL MAKEUP AND NAIL TRENDS FOR 2022 - 50 IS NOT OLD

With the changing seasons, I constantly update my makeup. I’ve been researching the fall makeup and nail trends for 2022, and I’m going to show you the ones I’m wearing.

Fall makeup for 2022 is all about the eyes. I ordered all of these Fall Makeup products from Walmart, which looked great. I’m excited that moody-smoky eyes and dramatic liner are making a major comeback. That is one trend I’m happy to jump on board with. The other eye trend is one I’ll have to think about; it is vivid blue eyeshadow. I haven’t gotten up the nerve to use the COVERGIRL TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette for my vivid blue eyeshadow look, but I’ll try it one day this week.

I couldn’t wait to try a smokey brown eye, but I couldn’t decide if I wanted to use the Maybelline’s Expert Wear 12-Pan Eye shadow Palette or the wet n wild Color Icon 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette, Walking On Eggshells. I ended up using both, one for each eye.

Both products worked well, neither one flaked, and both had good coverage. The Maybelline Expert Wear 12-Pan Eye shadow Palette had more shades to choose from, but I liked the dark brown shade from the wet n wild Color Icon 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette, Walking On Eggshells. If I could only choose one, it would probably be the wet n wild one. Even though it didn’t have very many shades, I liked the colors it had the best.

I then tried two different eyeliners. These mechanical pencil eyeliners are by Maybelline; they are different colors. The Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Espresso is a darker brown, and the Cinnabar eyeliner is a medium brown. Both of these eyeliners are waterproof and smudge-resistant, and the formula has been ophthalmologist tested and is suitable for both sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

I like how smoothly they applied; the precise point makes lining your eyes much easier.

I liked both of these shades of eyeliner, and I will wear both of them. The Cinnabar shade is more subtle and natural, and the espresso is more dramatic.

You can see the difference in the shades here. Cinnabar would make a great daytime eyeliner, and espresso would look perfect for a nighttime look.

I purchased two eyebrow pencils, both in a blond shade.

The Revlon color stay brow pencil has an angled tip and a spoolie brush to comb your brows in place. This eyebrow pencil has a long-wearing, waterproof formula which means you don’t have to worry about it smudging or coming off when you start to sweat.

Because of the fibers, I was anxious to try Maybelline Brow Extensions Fiber Pomade Crayon Eyebrow Makeup. This crayon is infused with hair-like fibers that are supposed to adhere to your brow hairs for a full thicker brow look. Both products worked great, but I think I liked the Revlon color stay brow pencil better. The color is closer to my natural brow, and I like the spoolie that helps tame my brows.

After applying the brow pencil or crayon, you want your brow hairs to stay in place. The NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Eyebrow Gel is clear, non-sticky, and comfortable to wear all day; you can even use this as a clear mascara.

I’ve been searching for a cream blush for Fall, and this 3-In-1 Color Stick by Mineral Fusion looks like it will work. I wanted something small and compact to throw in my purse and use when I looked washed out.

In the Fall, I usually use darker shades in blush and lipstick. Fall colors are rich, and I want my makeup to match the fall vibe. This Red shade is a berry color that looks a little scary until you apply it to your cheeks, but it blends in nicely.

Plus, it also doubles as a lipstick and eyeshadow, so it is perfect for on the go. This is going in my handbag for any “makeup emergency” I might have. Lol!

Once I added mascara, the fall makeup look was finished. Now for fall nails, can you guess what colors are trending?

If you guessed shades of brown, then you would be correct. This year, the go-to hue for Fall will be browns, from cocoa to caramel.

I tried each color, and they all had slightly different looks.

Starting with my thumb, here are the colors that I used. || Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, 212 Mocha Me Crazy  || L.A. Colors Gel-like Nail Polish, Darling || essie expressie quick dry nail polish, 8-free vegan, warm brown, Cold Brew Crew || Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Color, Holllaa-gram || OPI Nail Lacquer, Coconuts Over OPI ||

I couldn’t decide which color I liked the best, so I asked Joe for his opinion. He liked them all, and told me to paint my other hand exactly like this…so I did!!!
