Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is said to be a fan of the high-end palette - but shoppers have been getting the look for less

Ever since Urban Decay’s Naked Palette launched, it’s been at the top of most beauty lover’s wish lists, popular with celebrities and even, it’s reported, Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. However, at £46 per palette, it’s a big hit for the wallet - perhaps a reason it’s reserved for the Christmas list and not a payday treat.

However, Amazon shoppers have been raving about an affordable eyeshadow palette that’s a snip of the price - but has some strikingly close shades to achieve a similar look.

The Rimmel London Magnif'eyes spice edition eyeshadow palette is usually £9.99, but it’s currently on sale for the ‘cheap as chips’ price of £3.98.

Shoppers are saying it’s the ‘perfect Urban Decay dupe’, comparing it to the brand’s well-loved ‘Heat’ palette, which was launched in 2017. Just like the Naked Palette , it features 12 ‘skin tone complementing colours’, the new cut-price means each shade costs around 33p each.

With a range of high shimmer and matte shades, Rimmel says the palette is a multi-functional do-it-all compact, and can be used as eyeshadow, liner and highlighter, creating an ‘endless combination of looks’ that take you from day to night.

The palette has amassed nearly 10,000 global ratings , with customers leaving a string of glowing five-star reviews. One said: “Perfect urban decay dupe I brought this in the sale and was pleasantly surprised. It comes with a beautiful little brush, all of the eyeshadows are highly pigmented. High Street brands really have come a long way. It wasn’t patchy to apply and had great standing power when setting spray was applied.”

Another said: “Great dupe for the Urban decay naked heat palette! Has amazing pigmentation but some fall out, not enough for me to stop using it!”

“What's not to like?” wrote a third. “I'm over 40 so using a little more subtly. Lovely for butterfly flashes of colour with a pared-down look. Cheap as chips at £3.99 too. Chuffed.”

The Rimmel London Magnif'eyes spice palette is perfect for autumn and is more than £40 cheaper than the original Naked Heat palette. You can snap one up for yourself here while it’s still on sale.
