The Indian actress Shilpa Shetty is also a model. It was in the 1994 film Aag that she first played the lead character of a leading lady, a role she has played approximately 40 times since her debut in the film Baazigar (1993).

Acclaimed for her portrayal of an AIDS patient in Phir Milenge (2004), her performances in Dhadkan (2000) and Rishtey (2002) were well-received. Shamita Shetty, Shamita Shetty’s younger sister, is also a Bollywood actor.

Shilpa Shetty was raised in a typical Bunt family in Mangalore, where she was raised by her grandparents. As the eldest daughter of a pharmaceutical tamper-proof cap manufacturer (Surendra and Sunanda Shetty), she speaks her native Tulu fluently, as well as English, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Urdu, and even a little bit of basic French.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s Bollywood career took off in the early ’00s, but it wasn’t until she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother that she became an international success. She wore a sari and paired it with a feathery blowout, a wispy fringe, glossy lips, and kohl-rimmed eyes for the first episode of the reality show.

For all of her public appearances, she used lip gloss and black makeup to extend her eyes. Black eyeshadow and purple lip liner paired with pink lipstick and lip gloss completed her look for her next several red carpets and commercial appearances at the time.

Every time she had her hair cut to shoulder length, the stylist would blow it out and layer it. As she celebrated her hectic and successful year (she had three films out in addition to the reality show!) at the 2007 IIFA Awards, Shetty Kundra opted for lighter lipstick and copper eyeshadow instead of the more traditional black or brown.

It was in Mumbai in 2009 that she married Raj Kundra. To keep things classic, she wore a sleek low bun with pink lips and a light wash of blush on her cheeks for the wedding. Shetty Kundra, on the other hand, went all out for the reception.

Extensive crown volume was given to her natural hair (which she styled into curls). The addition of blue eyeliner smeared with glitter and gold eyeshadow was playful, as was the gold nail polish. The following year,

she concentrated on her non-acting profession, visiting Indian Premier League games with her husband and focusing on her spa and salon company, Iosis, which she started in 2010. She continued to style her hair in the same feathered style for public appearances.

Smudging eyeliner and eyeshadow across her lids, she attended the IIFA Awards in 2011 with the most dramatic smoky eye she’d ever worn. It was still the same pink gloss and razor-sharp eyebrows. It was the same appearance she wore when recording the dancing competitions for which she served as a judge as well.

In 2013, she kept her hair short and natural, but the nudes in her lip kit began to fade in favor of more subdued colors of mocha. When she dyed her hair red in 2017, it was the first time she had ever dyed her hair red. The pink makeup and old Hollywood curls she wore at the IIFAs in 2017 marked a significant stylistic shift.

A low ponytail with tendrils left in the front was worn by Shetty Kundra in 2018 at the Asia Spa Awards, along with matte blue eyeshadow and deep burgundy lips. Brow gel and a pencil were used to fill in and shape her sparse brows while they were still thin.

Similarly, she attended the wedding reception of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh with the same shade of brown as her lips, hair, and eyeshadow. Slicked back hair, rose gold makeup, and copious amounts of mascara were all attempts at her look.

On the red carpet in 2020, Shilpa Shetty Kundra will experiment with the latest makeup techniques while maintaining her blowout continuous and voluminous throughout her comeback films Nikamma and Hungama 2.
